THE city government of Parañaque on Friday vowed to recover Redemptorist Road from illegal vendors as it continuously conducting clearing operations. Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez noted that during the past few decades, Redemptorist Road has been rendered almost impassable as thousands of ambulant vendors have occupied not only the sidewalks but the streets themselves. Because of this, Olivarez conducted a series of clearing operations in Barangay Baclaran that started on Thursday to open up the major roads wherein around 3,000 vendors were affected.

    1. This has been a no-win project for many administrations. I bet when election time comes, the squatting vendors will be back and any administration in place will turn their faces away from what is happening. So why don’t you just provide an area, away from the streets, where they can sell their wares. What a tiring thing, politics is in this country.
