• Parks to join Alab in ABL tourney

Ray-Ray Parks has accepted an offer to play for Asean Basketball League (ABL) newcomer Alab Pilipinas, the latter confirmed on its social media accounts Friday night.

Parks, who was recently dropped by NBA D-League outfit Westchester Knicks, first hinted at his return to the local basketball scene through a video tweet on Wednesday with the caption, “I’m coming home.”

Alab said the 6-foot-4 Gilas guard will indeed join the team for the upcoming ABL season, which begins in a week.

Alab’s ABL journey, however, will not start until Day 2 of the season on Nov. 27, when the club hosts Singapore at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna.
