A portion of the southbound lane of the Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (Edsa) in Pasay City will be closed to vehicular traffic Sunday for the unloading and assembly of two new coaches of the Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3).
In an advisory posted on its official Twitter account, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said the innermost lane which is near the MRT-3 Taft Avenue station will be closed from 12 noon to 5 p.m.
This is “to ensure the safety of the motorists during the unloading and assembly of two new MRT-3 light rail vehicles,” the MMDA said.
The public and concerned motorists were advised to take alternative routes to and from their destinations.
The southbound lane of Senator Gil Puyat Avenue and Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City will also be closed starting at 9 a.m. for the Sofitel Manila Half Marathon 2016.
