• Pasay fire damage pegged at P450K


    At least 70 families were rendered homeless following a fire that gutted down some 30 houses in Pasay City early Monday morning.

    Pasay City fire Marshall Chief Inspector Douglas Guiyab said property damaged was estimated at P450 thousand in the fire that started past midnight.

    The victims’ houses were mostly built out of light materials.

    Initial investigations revealed that the fire started at the house of a certain Mercy Molina of No. 21 Perla St., Barangay 9, Zone 2 in Pasay City.

    The fire reached the fourth alarm, and was put out at 3:20 a.m.

    Authorities said that investigation is under way to determine the cause of the blaze.
