AS host city, the Pasay City government has started its preparations for the World Economic Forum (WEF) in May.
Mayor Antonino Calixto of Pasay City said they are set to implement a beautification-renewal program along the city’s main corridors with the support of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
He said that besides the beautification program that will be rolled out principally along Roxas Boulevard and Buendia Avenue, the Pasay City government will also focus on traffic management and other logistical concerns in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP), MMDA, and other local governments like Makati, Manila, and Parañaque.
The 23rd WEF on East Asia will be held on May 21 to 23 at the PICC Complex, Pasay City.
For the first time, the Philippines is hosting the WEF that will be attended by heads of states as well as political, academic, and business leaders that shape global, regional, and industry agendas and trends.
