Metro Manila Police Director Oscar Albayalde has ordered a review of the video that showed one of his policemen flashing his gun at two minors during a traffic altercation in Pasay City, an officer said.
Albayalde wants Police Officer 2 Manuel Carvajal Taytayon, who will be retiring in December, investigated for possible misbehavior and abuse of authority, said Chief Insp. Kim Molitas.
The video captured Taytayon, in civilian clothes, pulling his gun from his waist during the argument. One of the siblings took the video and uploaded it on social media.
Albayalde, who wants a “well-disciplined” force, was quoted as saying that he would not tolerate misbehaving policemen.
Taytayon of the Southern Police District was ordered to report immediately to National Capital Region Police Office-Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City last July 27, Molitas said.
