Former junior standout Jeson Patrombon scored two victories to secure a spot in the main draw of the $15,000 International Tennis Federation Philippine Men’s Futures at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center in Manila.
Patrombon, a quarterfinalist in the 2011 Australian Open Junior Championships, outplayed compatriot Kyle Joshua Dandan, 2-6, 7-6 (3), (6-4) then overpowered Canadian Andrew Ochotta, 6-1, 6-2, in the qualifying round.
