The 34th Philippine Columbian Association (PCA) Open-Cebuana Lhuillier ITF Men’s Futures Event will kick off on September 17 with the Wildcard Event.
This singles and doubles tournament will determine who will qualify for the ITF Qualifying and Main Draw Events.
For the Singles Wildcard, the champion and runner-up will automatically get wildcard berths in the ITF Main Draw while losing semifinalists will get wildcards in the ITF Qualifying Round.
On the other hand, losing quarterfinalists will play one playoff match to get a wildcard in the ITF Qualifying Round as two more qualifying slots will be awarded to losing quarterfinalists.
For the doubles wildcard, only the PCA Open Wildcard Champion will get a wildcard for the ITF Doubles Main Draw event.
“We are very excited since this will be the first time that PCA will host an ITF event. Furthermore, we expect forty-six world ranked players to come and compete in this prestigious event. They have a chance to win ATP points, plus a crack at the $15,000 total prize money,” said organizing committee Chairman Raul Diaz.
The ITF Qualifying Round will begin on October 11 while Main Draw will start on October 13.
