• PCCI holds fire safety training

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region (BFP-NCR), conducted a mandatory training course to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) plan in fire prevention. Renato Simbulan of the Philippine Chamber Development Institute of the PCCI said that the training course for SMEs not only tackled requirements for the issuance of the Fire Safety Inspection Certificate (FSIC), but also discussed the cost-effective measures in designing a system for fire prevention and suppression. Of the 36 participants, 34 passed the competency exam and became eligible to pursue application for certificate of competency from the BFP.
