• PCSO donates ambulance unit to 4th Infantry Division, Camp Evangelista Hospital


    The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has donated one ambulance unit to the 4th Infantry Division, Camp Evangelista in Cagayan de Oro City.

    Lieutenant Lynard Tastimoso presented the background on the activities of their Division while PCSO General Manager Alexander Balutan gave his inspirational message to the Philippine Marines during the ceremonies held on July 1.

    GM Balutan visits the troop of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division in Camp Evangelista and reassures them that PCSO will continuously provide medical assistance

    Before this, Camp Evangelista had only one functioning ambulance which serviced injured troops due to the conflict in Mindanao, particularly in Marawi City.

    Rev. Fr. Nemesio Pacana headed the blessing of the ambulance together with Gen. Benjamin Madrigal, who stressed the need for additional ambulance units due to the increased number of injured marine officers as a result of the ongoing conflict in the country’s Islamic city.

    PCSO notes that troops are in dire need of transportation and other medical assistance to augment their existing two rescue helicopters being used to transport soldiers with fatal injuries and those who need to be immediately transferred to emergency hospitals for treatment.
