The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has expanded its operations in Luzon as it opened new branch in Ilocos Sur. According to PCSO General Manager lawyer Jose Ferdinand Rojas 2nd, the move was part of a long-term strategy that it set after the start of the Aquino administration. “This is in line with the agency’s efforts to extend the reach of PCSO’s services all around the country,” he said. The new office, located in the Municipal Hall of Candon, has a manpower complement of two at the moment. PCSO is set to open other branches in Ozamis City, Misamis Occidental next month. When that happens, PCSO’s network of branches will extend to 45, an increase of 20 branches from the initial 25 in the second semester of 2010.
