The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Chairman Margie Juico will fly to Easterm Samar on a C130 plane with General Manager lawyer Jose Ferdinand Rojas 2nd on today to help the PCSO Team distribute relief goods.
The agency has already responded to the plea for help after Super Typhoon Yolanda destroyed parts of Visayas by preparing 100,000 Family Emergency Medicine kits, more than 2,000 packs of survival provision which contains mats, blankets, and mosquito nets, and 400 sacks of rice.
The agency has also bought the water treatment equipment to be given to the District Hospital of Guiuan through the Department of Health, augmented the medicine requirement of the Provincial Government, and plans to conduct medical missions in the area.
PCSO employees also personally donated goods and clothes to the affected.
Chairman Juico said that prayers must be coupled with appropriate assistance to ease the pain of the victims, estimated at 9.5 million.
