The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Tarlac Branch Office received the Citizen’s Satisfaction Center Seal of Excellence from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) for being an exemplary practitioner of the Anti-Red Tape Act (Republic Act 9485 of 2007).
The award was conferred upon PCSO on December 18 by CSC Regional Office 3 after a Report Card Survey conducted by the CSC last March 18 resulted in PCSO Tarlac’s receiving a rating of “excellent.” PCSO Tarlac branch is supervised by branch head Ma. Lourdes Soliman.
Last year, the PCSO Extension Office at the Lung Center of the Philippines bagged the same award for simplifying its frontline services.
The extension office also provides a comfortable waiting area with TV monitors for the queuing system. Free mineral water is daily provided to clients. The agency implements the “no lunch break” policy and employees are instructed to be courteous and friendly at all times.
Said PCSO Chairman Margarita Juico: “We are proud of the outstanding performance shown by PCSO Tarlac Branch and assure the public that our agency is continuously elevating the service standards of all its branches.”
In line with the PCSO Board’s policy to not only improve its service delivery but also extend it to remote and underserved areas of the country, the agency opened a branch at the Bontoc Municipal Hall on December 12.
All services offered by PCSO Head Office in Pasay City will also be available at the branch including medical assistance, claiming of prizes in lotto games, and support for lotto outlet agents.
“This brings to 35 the number of PCSO branches nationwide,” said PCSO General Manager lawyer Jose Ferdinand Rojas 2nd, “and we are scheduled to open more branches this year.”
