• PCSO upholds gender sensitivity at work


    In cooperation with the Philippine Commission on Women (PWC), the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) conducted Gender Sensitivity Training Seminar for its officials and employees aimed to take into account the societal and cultural factors involved in gender-based discrimination and exclusion both in private life and in the workplace.

    Held the at the Function Hall of Cross Winds Resorts Suites in Tagaytay City on the first week and last week of June, the four-day seminar inculcated among participants a better understanding of the factors that create gender gap in society, making PCSO now among organizations that strongly uphold Gender Sensitivity.

    PCW Gender and Development (GAD) Resource Pool member-practitioner Maricar Chan expounded on the disadvantages and instances affecting the positions and roles of women in offices, institutions and organizations. The training seminar added more consciousness on uplifting the value of practicing gender equality in all situations.

    PCSO is committed to exercise equal professional opportunity for both men and women employees by giving a gender-sensitive working environment. Furthermore, it calls for a proactive form of awareness for everyone to be circumspect that gender issues should not be allowed to linger but rather addressed immediately.
