PDEA 3 dismantles ‘shabu’ lab


ANGELES CITY: Anti- Drug authorities in Cental Luzon yesterday morning dismantled a medium-scale clandestine shabu laboratory, believed able to produce nine to 15 kilos of illegal drugs per day. Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency of Region 3 (PDEA 3) regional Dir. Gladys Rosales said the laboratory at 75-09 Clover Street, Timog Park Subdivision, Barangay Pampanga was being run by one Rosemarie Xiao and an unknown suspect. The suspects were not around during the raid. About 99 sacks of sodium hydroxide, 19 sacks of an unknown substance, 15 pails of suspected ammonia, red phosphorus, ethanol, cupric sulfate, iodine and ethanol; all elements used in producing shabu and assorted laboratory equipment, estimated at P50 million were confiscated.
