• PDEA is now ISO-certified

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the country’s lead agency in the fight against illegal drugs, is now ISO 9001:2008 certified. PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac Jr., said this after receiving the prestigious certification from Renato Navarette, managing director of Certification International of the Philippines, during the regular PDEA Monday flag-raising at the agency’s National Headquarters in Quezon City. ISO 9001:2008 defines the benchmark for a quality management system that provides a blue print for good governance of an organization, strongly focusing on public sector performance in satisfying the needs, expectations and requirements of its frontline services.
