PUERTO PRINCESA CITY: The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested on Tuesday a former employee of the Municipal Tourism Office of Coron after finding in his possession about 95 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride (locally known as shabu) during a buy-bust operation. Nabbed in the operation was 34-year-old Emil Caubang, a resident of Barangay Tagumpay in Coron. Caubang reportedly gave the illegal drug, worth P700,000, to a poseur-buyer. Aside from Caubang, the PDEA also collared his companion Vincent Garcia, a construction worker. Caubang was in tears when interviewed saying he was only requested by a friend to bring the drugs to Puerto Princesa in exchange for P5,000. A complaint for a violation to the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act was filed against the two suspects before the Prosecutor’s Office.
