CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga: The Central Luzon Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA 3) have arrested 31 drug personalities and seized 200 grams of shabu worth P700,000 in simultaneous anti-illegal drug operations in Bulacan and Tarlac recently.
PDEA 3 Director Gladys Rosales said the first operation was conducted in Caingin, Bocaue, Bulacan that netted Ferdinand Javier, Ronaldo Ronaldo, Castillo, Rodello Castillo; Ricardo Ramos, Silvestre, and Emelita Lapi.
The drug den reportedly maintained by Javier was dismantled and confiscated plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 50 grams and several drug paraphernalia.
Another raid conducted in another place in Bocaue collared Jimmy Bautista, Miguel Bautista, Miguel Mendoza, Jimwell Mayoba, Ellycar Adefin, Leslie Grace Austria, Ma. Chrisia Castillo, Kose Cabral, Raffy Lauindanum, and Arnel Puno. They yielded 50 grams of shabu and drug paraphernalia.
In Tarlac City, Carlito Macapinlac, who was the subject of a search warrant was arrested with 14 others in his residence.
Confiscated from Macapinlac were 30 plastic shachet of shabu weighing 100 grams and several drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, nine municipalities in the province of Iloilo are under tight watch on illegal drugs by the PDEA Region 6.
PDEA Regional Director Paul Ledesma said the drug watch was launched in the towns with ports of entry such as Dumangas, Estancia, Sara and Ajuy, all in the fifth district of Iloilo. As well as in Pototan, Janiuay and Calinog and the southern coastal towns of Oton and Tigbauan.
Ledesma said the drugs usually came from Cebu and passed through the ports in northern Iloilo. Only very few supplies come from Manila and Luzon. The drug syndicates also use new drug personalities who are not included in the order of battle.
