PDIC to pay depositors of closed rural bank in Negros Occidental

The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. (PDIC) will start the servicing of deposit insurance claims of depositors of the closed New Rural Bank of Binalbagan (Negros Occidental) Inc. on June 23 to 24, 2016, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the bank’s premises located on the National Highway, Barangay Progreso, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.

Depositors with valid deposit balances of P100,000 and below, with complete mailing address found in the bank records or updated through the Mailing Address Update Form, without any outstanding obligation with the bank, and whose deposits have been evaluated to be eligible for early payment, do not need to file their claims for deposit insurance.
