Former Gov. Eduardo Rodriguez of Quezon Province has been appointed as the new president of PDP-Laban. The announcement was made by former Department of Transportation and Communications Undersecretary and current PDP-Laban Secretary General Gene Mamondiong during the meeting of several political parties at the Queen Margarette Hotel in Lucena City on September 6. Former Mayor Joel Arago of Lopez, Quezon was also declared as the Honorary President of PDP-Laban in Quezon province. Mamondiong, meanwhile, said that the possible PDP-Laban and Nacionalista Party coalition is still in the works. Arago said, the appointment of Rodriguez, is a huge step in making the PDP-Laban stronger in the province.
