Three-year-old Pele Iñigo Escueta with his wavy locks and big brown eyes stole the spotlight from his famous parents—TV star Jolina Magdangal and Rivermaya band member Mark Escueta—at their endorsement event for a baby diaper brand.

All over the couch as his parents gave an interview, he was also ready with thumbs-up signs and adorable smiles whenever he saw a camera within view.

Unable to resist their son’s antics, the showbiz couple had to laugh and acknowledge that Pele is indeed in his very entertaining stage of “terrible threes.” His development is also on fast track.

“He’s always been an observant boy especially with his surroundings but nowadays, nagugulat na lang kami na may mga words or phrases siyang sasabihin, which we never taught him or even used in speaking to him,” marveled his music man dad. “If he hears a song once, he remembers it and sings to it even with different words for the lyrics.”

As for Pele’s doting mom, she shared, “He used to just play in one place pero ngayon takbo na siya ng takbo kaya talagang katulong ko itong Super Twins Easy Wear Baby Pants to make sure he’s dry and comfortable, and hindi matanggal ang diaper niya!” she added laughing.

The changes in Pele are a source of joy for his parents, especially since they have seen a very loving side to their son.

“Our journey as parents only makes us feel blessed everyday. All the sacrifices, all the hard work, all the patience, lahat napapalitan ng saya when you see him smile. Especially when he says, ‘I love you mama’,” Magdangal gushed.

“We must have done something really good to deserve this kind of love. This experience is not only making us better parents but better people,” echoed Escueta.

Asked whether they Pele will soon do more showbiz appearances, the pair replied that it is too early to tell.

“Ilang taon pa siguro,” smiled his ever-colorful mom.
