NEW YORK: New Orleans Pelicans rookie guard Bryce Dejean-Jones died on Saturday (Sunday in Manila) from a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

Police told the Dallas Morning News and Des Moines Register that the 23-year-old was killed early on Saturday after kicking open the door of a Dallas apartment and being shot by a man inside.
