Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI) registered growth in its second quarter net income, as it also posted significant improvement in its sales volume.
In a financial report, PCPPI said that it earned a net income of P387.7 million for the second quarter, higher than the P352.6 million it registered in the same period last year.
For the six-month period ending June 30, the company posted P657.9 million in profits, higher than the P577.5 million year-on-year.
The company also posted a significant increase in its total sales volume, which was fueled by record sales across all of its major carbonated and non-carbonated drinks segments.
PCPPI’s total volume increased by 25 percent for the quarter and 22 percent for the six-month period.
“By sustaining our drive on product availability and affordability across the country, it allowed us to achieve remarkable volume growth for the quarter — the sixth consecutive quarter of strong, double-digit growth for the company”, PCPPI President Partho Chakrabarti said.
In terms of gross revenue, the company registered P7.4 billion for the quarter and P13.4 billion for the six-month period versus last year.
These figures, according to the company, represent significant growth rates of 22 percent for the quarter and 18 percent for the six-month period.
PCPPI’s gross revenue reached P1.8 billion for the quarter and P3.2 billion for the six-month period. It grew by 21 percent for the quarter and 18 percent for the six-month period versus last year.
PCCPI is the exclusive bottler of PepsiCo beverages in the Philippines. The products under the company are Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew, 7-Up, Mirinda, Mug, Gatorade, Tropicana, Lipton, Sting and Premier.
