Following a 19-19 deadlock at the end of the first quarter, South Korea heavily outscored the Philippines in the second and third frames, 51-28.
The Filipinas face another tough task when they battle China, which topped Group A and ranked No. 1 in Asia, in the knockout stage on Thursday.
