The Petron Blaze Spikers and the Philips Gold Lady Slammers will dispute the top spot of the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix 2015 elimination round at the San Juan Arena at 4 p.m. today.
Each squad is holding a 7-2 record.
The duo of Petron imports Rupia Inck and Erica Adachi together with local standouts Rachel Daquis and Frances Molina are expected to lift their club over their formidable foe.
In their game against Foton, Inck led the Blaze Spikers into a three-set victory, 27-25, 25-23, 25-16. She finished the game with 19 points off 17 attacks and two blocks while her teammate Daquis added 11 points.
Meanwhile, Cignal HD Spikers aim to clinch their seventh win in the competition as they meet the Meralco Power Spikers in the second game at 6 p.m.
Meralco will be banking on a momentum they’ve earned after snapping their losing streak at the expense of the RC Cola Air Force Raiders, 25-21, 28-26, 25-21 on Saturday.
Liis Kullerkann is expected to lead Meralco.
