Taking the spotlight at the brand’s booth is the Peugeot 508 HYbrid. Though not to be sold locally, EDI said the model is a “strong statement of just how advanced Peugeot is in terms of diesel technology development.”
The 508 HYbrid4 combines Peugeot’s already efficient diesel engine with an electric motor to deliver “amazing emission and mileage numbers,” according to EDI. The car has an improved software management system, which reduces CO2 emissions to only 85g/km while returning fuel mileage of 30.6kpl.
Along with the 508 HYbrid4, Peugeot’s display includes the 3008 crossover, 5008 compact MPV, 508 executive sedan, Expert Tepee family van and RCZ sports car.
EDI at the show also staged the Peugeot Fashion Experience where Filipino designer Rocky Gathercole, who EDI said has designed clothes for international pop stars Katy Perry and Beyonce, interpreted through his designs the Peugeot vehicles displayed. EDI noted Peugeots “exude a uniquely French touch—distinct, striking and prominent, making the fashion show an apt jump-off point for the European marque’s premium product line.”
