The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) recently launched its online national registration system for players as part of its campaign to professionalize the sport in the country.
The new registration system that will start next month was made in line with FIFA regulations that require the PFF to register all eligible players.
The program’s was announced after the PFF forged partnership with MMC Sports Marketing LLC and Rsports, Inc. last week.
“The registration system is another step forward for Philippine football as we continue to professionalize the organization of the sport,” PFF General Secretary Edwin Gastanes said.
Gastanes added that the system would include data such as player’s statistics and profiles from all of the PFF-sanctioned events nationwide.
He added that they will be strictly enforcing the new rule starting next year and reiterated the benefits of registering on their online system.
“The player becomes eligible in all PFF events when he registers. With the registration, we can prevent the unreasonable practices in local and domestic tournaments,” he concluded.
