THE Philippines and Australia basketball organizations have issued a joint apology for the brawl that erupted between their teams during the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Asian Qualifiers on Monday.

“We deeply regret the events that took place during the game. The actions displayed have no place on any basketball court,” Al Panlilio, president of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP), and his counterpart, Ned Coten, of Basketball Australia said in a statement sent to media on Thursday.
