And the Philippines wins again!
An all-new source of Filipino pride has emerged as Euro Pop Philippines announced on Monday morning, via Twitter, that Ryan Tamondong won the 2015 Euro Pop Contest grand prix.
Euro Pop Berliner Perle is an international youth singing competition held annually in Germany. When it started in 2003, the competition had been exclusive for European countries but since 2014, it began accepting participants from the Philippines, which is the first non-European country included in the line-up.
Tamondong bested contenders from 17 European countries, taking home the top prize. Fellow Filipino contestants, Gyver Jude Concon, placed fourth in the 18-to-24 age category while Princess Faith Priel and Mikee Micosa, received a diploma and a medal each.
