The lady booters of the Philippines took the upper hand early in the first half of their meeting against the Burmese as a swift counter-attack resulted in a penalty following a dangerous tackle by Wai Wai Aung on Joanna Houplin inside the box.
Filipina striker Houplin sank her ball from the penalty spot allowing the Philippines to grab the lead in the 21st minute.
The second half saw Wer Phaw went through the defense of the Philippines twice in minutes to snatch away the lead for Myanmar.
The Philippines’ last line of defense, goalkeeper Inna Palacios, lay her self open to another blow despite fighting valiantly as Khin Moe Wai propelled the ball past her reach to give Myanmar a comfortable 3-1 lead.
Burmese kicker Phaw again found the back of the net for the third time off a counter to tally her hat trick for the game.
