Homeless World Cup Team Philippines copped their second win in the competition following a 10-4 drubbing of Lithuania in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on Wednesday.
After winning their first game over Switzerland on a dominant display of skill by Angelo Marzon, the Philippine team once again clinched another big win over a tough European opponent.
The Filipino squad, which is composed of players from the typhoon-ravaged province of Leyte, cruised through their Lithuanian foes to snatch their second win in the contest.
Consequently, the pesky Filipino defenders only allowed their opponents four goals while scoring 10 goals in their match.
Meanwhile, during their other match in the day, the team bowed to their group’s top seed Czech Republic, 4-2.
With two games left to be played, the Philippines is tied with Germany in the standings in Group E and holds third spot in their cluster for the second round of the competition.
