THE Philippines and China can “create a bright future together” if the two countries chose to cooperate and “overcome difficulties,” according to the Chinese Embassy.
Wang Yang, who represented China’s Ambassador to Manila Zhao Jianhua during the Business Forum organized by The Manila Times, on Thursday noted that the two countries are not only neighbors, “but also close relatives with a history of friendly exchanges for more than a millennium.”
“Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two nations, we have witnessed significant progress in our bilateral friendship and common development, which has laid a good foundation for business and trade cooperation,” he said.
“I am sure there [is]huge potential for our cooperation. I believe our two countries could overcome difficulties and seize opportunities, so as to create a bright future together,” Wang added.
He said among Asean countries, the Philippines is the fourth-biggest foreign investor in China while China is the eighth-biggest foreign investor in the Philippines.
