The Philippines dropped to the 134th spot in the latest world rankings released by the International Football Federation (FIFA) on Friday.
After clinching their highest world ranking in July at 124th, the Azkals fell nine places
down following their 1-5 loss to Uzbekistan on September 8.
They are now ranked 18th in Asia.
The team won its first two games against Bahrain and Syria in the in the ongoing World Cup and Asian Cup qualifiers before bowing to Uzbekistan in Group H.
The Azkals will face North Korean – the only unbeaten squad – in hostile territory in Pyongyang for their fourth match in the tournament.
They are also scheduled to fly to Manama, Bahrain for their second meeting with the Bahrainis on October 13.
Azkals members Simone Rota, Juani Guirado and Javier Patiño won’t be seeing action in the next two games because of injuries.
