PH hosts APEC IP meeting

Some 60 intellectual property (IP) experts will gather in Clark, Pampanga over the weekend for the first of the two high-level meetings the Philippines is hosting this year for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Intellectual Property Rights Experts’ Group (APEC-IPEG). It is part of the First Senior Officials’ Meeting that will take place in Clark, Pampanga and in Subic, Zambales. “My expectations on Philippines’ hosting APEC are vast, because I have always believed that any economy that hosts the APEC meetings and that will culminate with the summit of the APEC leaders is a grand opportunity for showcasing the economy, its people, its assets, its problems and its future capabilities,”APEC-IPEG Chair Miguel Ángel Margáin, also the Director General of the Mexican Institute of the Industrial Property (IMPI), said.
