Headline inflation gained pace to 1.1 percent in November, the biggest rise in consumer prices in five months, driven largely by the heavily weighted food and non-alcoholic beverage index.

The overall increase marks a sharp acceleration from 0.4 percent in October, although still below the 3.7 percent rate recorded a year earlier.
