THE 5th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) will mount motoring attractions and various activities for children of all ages. These include holding games, treasure hunts and pedal go-karts.
Organized by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI), the 5th PIMS will be held from September 18 to 21 at an exhibitions center in Pasay City. CAMPI said the biannual event is set to become the “ultimate bonding destination for families and friends.”
The group said this year’s PIMS promises to be the most engaging and experiential to date, featuring booths for pedal go-karts, a pit stop challenge, fan belt toss and other motoring-inspired activities.
Local die-cast and scale-model clubs are also set to create a miniature motor show that highlights the same car brands participating in PIMS.
The Automotive Designers’ Row, a PIMS staple, will educate visitors about the brilliant minds behind some of the automotive industry’s best designs and game-changing innovations.
Children ages 6 to 12 can learn more about cars through an automotive-themed treasure hunt and trivia game.
The 16 participating car manufacturers will have brand presentations and interactive engagements. BAIC, BMW, Daewoo, Honda, Isuzu, JMC, Kia, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot, Suzuki, Toyota and Volkswagen will also display their latest vehicles and cutting-edge technologies.
A retrospective display of 12 iconic vehicles will stretch across the venue’s main lobby. It will give visitors a crash course on local motoring history with a lineup of vintage and modern cars from the ’50s to the present.
