Ropali Corporation, one of the top motorcycle dealers in the Philippines, recently established two Guinness world records for organizing the largest parade of motorcycles with sidecars and the largest simultaneous motorcycle burnout.
The record for the largest parade of motorcycles with sidecars was previously held by China after the Bullfroggies Beijing Sidecar Club of China paraded 317 motorcycle units. Ropali, in partnership with Honda Philippines, the History Channel, Cauayan City and the province of Isabela, was able to break the record with 681 motorcycles with sidecars joining the parade held in Cauayan City on April 8, 2015.
“This record is part of our company’s 40th anniversary celebration. We chose to hold it in Cauayan because our company started here and we want the world to know about the beautiful city and people of Cauayan,” said Ropali Motorcycles general manager Aldous Rex Alingog.
Three days after the record-breaking parade, Ropali set another Guinness world record with the holding of the largest simultaneous motorcycle burnout in Tagaytay City, Cavite. In partnership with Kymco Philippines, FDR Tires and the History Channel, Ropali invited a total of 300 Kymco riders to simultaneously perform a motorcycle burnout. This surpassed the record previously set by the Harley-stunts and Smokey Mountain Harley-Davidson team in Tennessee with 213 riders.
Explaining Ropali’s thrust behind the record-breaking events, Aldous said, “being in the industry for 40 years, Ropali has been dedicated in providing quality motorcycles to Filipinos, and breaking these records showed that Ropali is world class.”
