FOILACAR Manila, together with the Philippine sellers of Aprilia and Ducati, has turned the Any Time All the Time (ATAT) motorcycle club into a superbike racing team.

The move came after some club members swept the top positions in the recent Ducati Cup and Suberbike National Intermediate Class in the 2014 Pirelli Philippine Superbike National Championship, held at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga.

Called ATAT Racing Team (ART), the newly formed group was officially launched at a program recently held at a Bonifacio Global City venue. The 24 members of ATAT and ART, who displayed their race bikes and some street machines at the launch event, said riding safety was a prime consideration in their decision to form the racing team.

“We have been riding for a long time, and unlike other sport-bike riders, ATAT members really push and ride hard. We have made it our advocacy to ride hard on the track, not on the streets, to promote safe riding,” said Marc de Joya, marketing manager at Ducati Phils.

The event doubled as Foilacar Manila’s foray into the motorcycle market. Spinning off as Foilabike, the company offers expert foil-wrapping services for motorcycles instead of cars.

“Our company innovated paint protection in the country,” said Lester Codog, chief of Foilacar Manila. “Since our product can be used for a variety of purposes and applications, I decided to start Foilabike, exclusively for sport bikes and touring motorcycles.”

Codog, who also serves as the race director of ART, added Foilabike offers the same level of protection for motorbikes, and that customers can choose from a wide variety of colors, patterns and graphics that are specific to motorcycles.

“They can do everything their heart and imagination desires. We even have Vespa owners lining up for Foilabike services,” vouched Jevis Aguila, marketing manager at Granstar Motors, the local distributor of Aprilia, KTM, Moto Guzzi and Vespa.

ART is set to compete in Round 4 of the 2014 Pirelli Philippine Superbike National Championship, scheduled on August 2 at the Clark racetrack.
