The Philippines is set to acquire submarines in line with the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ (AFP) modernization program, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said on Monday.
“We are looking at [South] Korea and Russia and other countries [as source of the submarines],” Lorenzana told reporters after the flag raising ceremony at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.
