Philab ballbusters join Philippine Sports Commission Chairman’s Cup


MULTI-TITLED Philab Ballbusters is set to join the first ever Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman’s Baseball Cup slated next month at the historic Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.

According to Philippine Amateur Baseball Association (PABA) head Hector Navasero,the team’s participation is in response to the formal invitation sent to PABA office recently by organizer Philippine Sports Commission signed by Chairman Ricardo Garcia.

“It’s a welcome development for Philippine baseball. Philab Ballbusters is willing to support the project of the chairman Garcia in providing opportunity to young baseballers to show their wares in this weeklong tournament that will hit the field on November 9,”team owner Navasero said.

Navasero said he already gave instruction to PABA officer-in-charge Tom Navasero to immediately summon his players to come up with talents aged from 16-above.

“We want to maintain Philab’s winning tradition in PABA Seniors so we are forming a highly competitive team and I know other teams are preparing comprehensively as well.”

The champion team will receive P50,000 while the runner-up takes home P25,000.

The Ballbusters will be supported by Philippine Laboratories, Inc.,Philippine Agricultural and Aqua Culture Company,Philippine Spare Parts Supply of Baseball patron Kunifumi Itakura and Philippine Jaycee Senate.
