THE Philippine Army shooting team has won the most coveted trophy in the recently concluded Australian Army Skills at Arms Meeting (AASAM) by defeating the best shooters from the armed forces of the United States and 12 other countries.

Army spokesman Lt. Col. Noel Detoyato on Sunday said that aside from bagging the Commander-in-Chief trophy, the 18-man Philippine Army contingent headed by Lt. Col. Palmer Parungao was also able to defend its place in the Team Champion Shot Match.
