THE Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) said that the Philippine delegation to the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China on August 14 to 28, will be without boxers and tae kwon do players because no Filipino athletes from the two mentioned disciplines made it to the qualifying rounds. POC first Vice President Joey Romasanta said that Philippine boxers joined a qualifying tilt in Bulgaria last month while Filipino jins entered a qualifying competition in Taiwan also last month. The Philippines, however, qualified in basketball, archery, gymnastic and triathlon.
