The Philippines’ national badminton team swept all three assignments to win the 2015 Sudirman Cup Badminton World Team Event Group 4 on Sunday at the Dongfeng Nissan Sports Center in Dongguan, China.
The Philippine Badminton Association (PBA) Smash Pilipinas squad defeated Iceland, 4-1, and Nigeria, 5-0, in the preliminary rounds before beating Sri Lanka, 3-0, in the championship round of the competition sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation.
