The Philippines hosts the 2014 Asia Expatriates Pool Challenge (AEPC) beginning today at the Resorts World Manila.
The Asia Expatriates Pool Challenge is an annual competition for amateur expatriate players formed into teams of 15 (20 in 2011-2013) and representing their respective cities in an event held in a number of Asian cities in rotation.
In 2014, the Philippines in cooperation with Puyat Sports, will be bringing this exciting event to Manila with an unprecedented seven-team/city contingent.
The organizers promise the event to be the biggest and best production in all of the history of the APC as the Philippines is regarded as the Pool Capital of the World.
The competition aims to encourage players to get to the next level by participating in an international pool challenge unique to Asia.
“It is about more than just playing pool. It is about forming new friendships and, most importantly, having fun,” said Ish Caparas.
Jakarta hosted the event in 2011 while Bangkok hosted in 2012 with the cities of Shanghai and Jakarta joining the hosts.
The event has since grown bigger in September 2013 in Jakarta with the inclusion of teams from Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Shanghai and Singapore.
