The Wushu Federation of the Philippines (WFP) will be sending two fighters to the prestigious 2014 Sanda World Cup scheduled on November 20 to 22 at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia. Former world champion and reigning Southeast Asian Games titlist Jessie Aligaga and 2014 Asian Games silver medalist Jean Claude Saclag will be donning the national colors in the tournament which is expected to draw participants from more than 50 countries. The WFP earlier planned to send four athletes but world champion Benjie Rivera and veteran campaigner Evita Zamora are still recuperating from injuries. Chinese Tong Qing Hai will mentor the team while WFP official Freddie Jalasco serves as the delegation head. The team will depart on November 18.
