The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Wednesday said the country will experience good weather until New Year’s Day celebration, except for some isolated light rain showers.
In their special weather outlook, Pagasa chief of Weather Division Esperanza Cayanan said, Cagayan Valley and the province of Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains because of the northeast monsoon or amihan until Friday.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, meanwhile, will continue to have generally fair weather with possible isolated light rains.
The state weather bureau said the Visayas and Mindanao are also expected to have generally good weather with chances of brief rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly over the eastern section.
Although Cayanan noted that no tropical cyclone is expected throughout the outlook period, sea conditions over Northern Luzon will still be rough to very rough while moderate to rough over the rest of Luzon and Eastern Visayas.
In the meantime, cloudy skies with light rains will be experienced over the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera and Cagayan.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over the Visayas and Mindanao.
Strong to gale force winds are expected to affect seaboards of Northern Luzon.
Fishing boats and other small seacraft are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.
