The Philippines’ bet to Miss Universe 2015 PiaWurtzbach may have started the race to Miss Universe as one of the Top 10 contenders as predicted by Missosology—a leading beauty pageant observer website—but as of late this week, the credible source has downgraded the Filipina beauty’s standing to No. 12 from No. 6.
In previous Missosology predictions Wurtzbach was described as “battle ready and one of the most disciplined contestants in the history of Miss Universe.” The site further noted, “Even if she fails to win her country’s third crown, no less than a Top 5 finish will be bestowed upon her.”
Nevertheless, Wurtzbach remains to be one of the most visible and strongest contestants in pageant, whose coronation night will be held on Sunday in Las Vegas, California. She participated in the pre-pageant talent show on December 13, and even appeared in a “Stop Hunger Now event” the day before. Wurtz-bach was also spotted at National Gift Auction and the Chinese Laundry Sponsor Event at Zappos last week.
Performers, public voting
Pageant organizers meanwhile announced this week that Grammy nominee Charlie Puth, Seal, and The Band Perry will perform live on coronation night, with Emmy Award winner Steve Harvey hosting the show.
For a first in the history of Miss Universe, fans all over the world can choose and vote for the next Miss Universe by logging on to www.missuniverse.com/vote during the live telecast in their respective countries. There, they can give their personal scores for each finalist in the Swimsuit, Evening Gown, Final Question and Final Look segments, which will form part of the pageant’s winning totals.
ABS-CBN will air the coronation night on December 21, 2015 (in the Philippines) at the Planet Hollywood Resorts and Casino in Las Vegas.
