Pinay tossers take on China today


The Philippines will be going all-out against top seed China when the knockout stage of the 1st Asian Uunder-23 Women’s Volleyball Championship begins today at the Philsports Arena. The Philippines-China match is at 4:15 p.m. with the Filipinas hoping to pull off an upset win over the mighty Chinese squad. Team captain Alyssa Valdez and 6-foot-5 middle-blocker Jaja Santiago will be leading the frontline of the Philippines along with setter Jia Morado, opposite hitter Myla Pablo, open spiker Grethcel Soltones, Filipino-Japanese Risa Sato and libero Tin Agno.
