The Philippine women’s national football team ended its campaign a win over Singapore, 2-0, on Saturday in the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Women’s Championship at the Mandalarthiri Stadium in Myanmar.

The Philippines came out strong at the start of the meeting as University of the Philippines standout Cristina De Los Reyes found the back of the net in the fifth minute.

Leading by a goal in the early minutes of the first half, the Filipinas stood strong on the defensive end to prevent their foes from scoring until the halftime break.

The Filipinas continued their impressive form in the second half as Camille Wilson left her markers for a shot on goal in the 50th minute.

Both teams exchange blows towards the dying minutes of the ball game with the resilient Pinays dictating the pace but no additional goals were sank until the end of regulation.

The Filipinas suffered their second defeat at the hands of the tough Vietnamese side, 0-4, on July 28.
