The Philippine women’s national football team ended its campaign a win over Singapore, 2-0, on Saturday in the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Women’s Championship at the Mandalarthiri Stadium in Myanmar.
The Philippines came out strong at the start of the meeting as University of the Philippines standout Cristina De Los Reyes found the back of the net in the fifth minute.
Leading by a goal in the early minutes of the first half, the Filipinas stood strong on the defensive end to prevent their foes from scoring until the halftime break.

The Philippines ended the AFF Championship with a record of a win and two losses in in Group A.
The Philippines debuted with a 0-4 loss against titleholders Thailand on July 26.
Thai striker Pitsamai Sornsai cashed in two goals in the contest while teammates Kanjana Sungngoen and Rattikan Thongsombut scored a one tally each.
