Pinoy bowlers struggle in Asian School Tenpin meet

The Filipino keglers fell short in the singles event of the 16th Asian School Tenpin Bowling Championships being held at the South China Athletic Association (SCAA) Bowling Center in Hong Kong. Bea Hernandez was the best finisher in the girls’ class as she wound up fifth overall with 1,291 pins (175, 195, 172, 300, 257 and 192), just 16 pins behind bronze medalist Nora Lyana Natasia of Malaysia. South Koreans Kim Dong Yo (1,322) and Kim Jin Ju (1,313) took the first two spots. The team hopes to bounce back in the doubles play scheduled late Tuesday.
